Managing Broker

Our Managing Broker, Elwood Major, is a member and past director of PAMA (Professional Association of Managing agents) and has a designation of CPRPM (Certified Professional Residential Property Manager) with yearly education and attendance requirements. PAMA's mandate is to provide education and timely information on items related to the Strata Management field. Elwood has been a successful Realtor with an agency designation, qualified to offer strata management, rental property management and trading in real estate. He has a wealth of experience in working with people through Rotary(Chairman twice), Past Director of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association of BC, Past Chairperson of Winter Festivities in the Okanagan and training in Conflict Resolution - Third Party Neutral.

Accounting Team

Professionalism, honesty, trust, accuracy and transparency are the building blocks of our financial management strategy and relationship. Our well qualified and experienced accounting department oversees all financial aspects of the properties that we manage. Our accounting staff are also licensed Strata Managers.

The financial management of a Strata Corporation is one of the most important functions of Strata Management companies. At ECM Strata Management & Consulting, financial statements are produced on a monthly basis. The financial statements fully detail all financial transactions of the month in review. We provide a complete financial package, including a bank statement and all invoices to the Strata Council with the agenda for the Strata Council meeting well in advance of the meeting date. We have successfully completed many independent audits of our records and books of account for the properties we manage.

Strata Managers

We believe that Strata Managers should be proficient with respect to building maintenance issues, financial management, and people management. To this end our strata managers manage portfolios specifically matched to their individual personalities and level of experience, i.e. with new developments versus the retrofit of an older strata complex. Our strata managers have adequate time to deal with the details of day to day operations as well as assisting a client in planning for the future of their strata complex. We possess the skills, experience, and the commitment to ensure that your complex has a long term maintenance plan in place and adequate funding to achieve its objectives.
